Australian based but UK forged singer songwriter Craig Freeman still stands as one of the industries most engaging male solo artists. His latest release and second album ‘Forget The Comfort’ showcases just what Freeman is all about, his captivating delivery of lyrics and story, complimented by catchy melodies and solid guitar work. Touring all over Australia and also playing shows in the US and the UK, the album has been received with open arms by fans. Having opened for artists such as Paul Dempsey, Thirsty Merc, Darryl Braithwaite and The Black Sorrows to name a few, it is safe to say Freeman’s earned his place along side Australia’s much loved musicians. Whether it’s playing solo or accompanied by his band ‘RagingOceans’, for Craig it’s about being on stage connecting with the people, traveling to new places and knowing he’s leaving something positive in his wake.

As a surfer and ex Professional Lifeguard, Freeman sometimes draws similarities between the Ocean and his songs, there are deep calming lulls and incredibly intense moments fueling the emotions of his listeners, with a natural ability of drawing in an audience.

Freeman released his debut single ‘Hookers and Thieves’ in June 2012, receiving airplay all over Australia where his traction was already strong. The song was taken from his debut EP ‘Any Other Day’, which was recorded at Misfit studio’s in Los Angeles in 2011. He followed up with a second single ‘Karma’ in 2015, recorded at Hercules Street Studios in Sydney, which also received airplay nationally and internationally and was a huge success. Since its release there has been a lot of touring throughout Australia and overseas. For Craig, it’s all about getting out on the road and building his fan base from the ground up, playing both festivals or intimate shows, winning people over with his honest performance and powerful yet inviting voice. It’s this one town at a time,

grass roots attitude that ensures Craig maintains a personal connection to

his audience.
